  • Due to continued growth we are looking to fill the role of Maintenance Stores and Parts Controller
  • Based in our factory at Wesley Vale
  • Work in a fast growing industry for a global organisation
This new role is responsible for inventory management of maintenance and equipment spares and consumables as well as support to the manufacturing department for the planning and coordination of maintenance shuts and activities. The role will also be required to assist with contractors and suppliers and assist to negotiate best pricing outcomes for BioMar through service agreements and consignment stock.
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Manages all spare parts inventories within agreed limits,
  • Place orders for replacement stock and stores appropriately, liaises with third parties on standard and custom stock items, source and negotiate pricing on spare parts.
  • Act as a super user for the Maintenance Management Software
  • Completes regular reviews of critical spares inventory and maintains min stock holding within the CMMS for spare parts and new projects assets.
  • Provides reports on asset maintenance, spares, preventative maintenance, and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Assist in planning and coordination of weekly and yearly maintenance days with schedule of works, parts/spares preparation and general administrative support.
  • Support Maintenance Coordinator and Production Manager with administration e.g., follow up with suppliers/contractors.
  • Document and implement best practice stock management procedures.
About you
We are searching for someone who already has experience in a similar type of role and has a practical hands-on approach. To be successful you will likely have:
  • Ideally a Trade qualification such as an Electrician, Instrument Technician or Mechanical Fitter
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • A full driving licence and Forklift certificate or willing to train for one.
  • Experience in the maintenance of a continuous process plant (Mining or Manufacturing or FMCG type environment)Previous P
  • Planning and Scheduling Experience
  • Good communication, planning and organising skills.
  • Demonstrated experience directing & assigning work activities for maintenance teams and contractors via Work Orders in Fiix or Mex system.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in spares management
  • Demonstrable experience in Asset Reliability assessment, investigation and outcomes (RCA)
