LGO4 starting at $73,463 - $78,677 per annum + superannuation, based on skills, qualifications and experience

About the role:
The Utility Services Officer is a key business support services partner to the Utility Services Manager. To be successful in the role, you will ensure the provision of high quality, efficient and effective business administration and systems services support to the Utility Services Manager and across the Departments span of functions and teams.

You will need to:

  • Ensure the preparation of accurate and regular data reporting cycles including the cleansing and validation of data;
  • Provide advice and support to senior managers and internal staff through the delegation of rounds to ensure a centralised point of communication for all Utility Services functions;
  • Accountable for accurate and timely maintenance of databases relevant to the position as well as compliance with relevant policies and procedure, codes and other business instruments;
  • High level customer service support to identify customers’ needs and assess options and respond appropriately on issues, risks and complaints by triaging to appropriate roles, for example in instances such as calls from the public regarding possible leak problems and water consumption enquiries;
  • Administration of audit procedures and processes including the preparation and auditing of water consumption reports provided to rates for billing;
  • Make timely and accurate decisions based on data, knowledge and research in consultation with key stakeholders and authorised delegates;
  • Lead the development and design of learning materials, update social media and website content and produce e-learning courses for use of Departmental employees and for education and awareness of community members;
  • Responsible for the efficient and effective performance of all administrative duties and key responsibility areas within the Utility Services department.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills and the ability to respond to complex customer service enquiries in a timely manner;
  • Proven experience in data preparation, cleansing and validation skills, including the ability to provide accurate reporting;
  • Advanced proficiency and technical experience in a range of relevant systems and applications across a broad discipline area;
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel skills including intermediate level of skill in Adobe Creative suite for desktop publishing, e-learning course materials and other training and education awareness products; and
  • Advanced planning and time management skills with an ability to manage competing priorities.
