The P&C Assist team is critical to the People and Culture function as it is one of the first points of contact for employees that require any HR related assistance. The team provides both written and verbal advice that is accurate, timely and fit for purpose whilst also managing conflicting priorities and manager and employee expectations.
The People & Culture Officer is primarily responsible for the delivery of professional advice and services to support the effective operation of People & Culture Assist as well as the broader People & Culture team. The incumbent for this position will be provided the opportunity to develop generalist HR skills in a supportive environment.

About YouTo be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Be the first point of contact by phone and email for generalist advice to managers and employees regarding all aspects of the employment relationship.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with managers and employees of all levels across the university advocating for the People & Culture, vision and strategic objectives.
- Generate and issue all employment contracts for Ongoing and Fixed Term staff
- Support with the processing and onboarding of all employee job changes, contracts and new employees into the relevant P&C system.
Qualifications
- Completion of a degree relevant to Human Resources without subsequent relevant work experience; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
